This morning, I woke up and hit the road in pursuit of adventure…and I found one! After searching for Anderson Point Park, which has no signs showing you the way, and eventually finding it, I met up with the Wake Audubon group and built some birdhouses! We made 19 today, and they are for Prothonotary Warblers. Prothonotary Warblers are the Bird of the Year for the Wake Audubon Society, so there will be projects and activities about these birds throughout the year. The birdhouses that we built today will be placed in the park, and in May (I think) there will be a field trip to see if any birds are living in them! I hope I will be able to go and check that out. Maybe I can get Reed to go with me, since it is near the Sheetz.

Anywho, I can mark Adventure 20 off the list! I didn’t build one all by myself, but I was a significant part of building at least three of them. That means I’ve got 6 adventures down, and 24 to go by December 2009. I need to get cracking!

(I took this picture with my cell phone, so I apologize for the quality.)
